Firstly, thank you for visiting. I hope you find what you’re looking for here.
Please call me Rose, and help yourself to a drink of herbal tea, water or milk and take an oatcake, bourbon biscuit or some crystalised ginger to nibble on while you browse through my entries.
This blog is the diary of my journey as I find spirituality, simplify my life, gain an education and transform myself.
You’ll find what you’re looking for if your interests cover:
Clutter, Green/Eco-living, Education, Healthy Food, Spirituality, Nature, Budget/Money, Books, Song, Dance, Paganism and/or Psychology.
By the time I finish my degree, I’ll be in about £21,000 debt from student loans alone. The cost of living is twice this, so each year I’m losing £10,000 and at the moment, I have no source of income. To combat this and aid my spiritual journey, I’m hoping to end Summer in 2011 with a lot less “stuff” and an ability to survive on a very low budget. My actions include: de-cluttering, minimising luxuries, being thrifty, creating instead of buying, and using easy-store & cheap food sources. However, my health is very important to me, so I don’t want to compromise on the value of nutrition just to spend less.
Lastly, I wish to expand my horizons by learning new skills. I have plans to take aprt in arts & craft workshops, Druid conferences, Wiccan circles, Scotland and a even Buddhist retreat. You can see my progress on my 101 list. I have a specific section of my Budget/Savings account that I’ve told myself I will use for these purposes, to make up for the lack of luxuries in my day-to-day life.
Again, if you wish to link back to me, please let me know (so I can come and see your own blog) but all pictures are my own unless otherwise stated and are copyrighted. Please do not use them without my permission. (c)
